Less blue out in the streets.

The British police forces are getting the axe. It is rumoured that around 3000 policemen and women are getting the sack. These job losses are said to be part of greater plan which will save the government around 134 million pounds. There is speculation about the force using a controversial rule that can make people retire after thirty years of service to the police force. The group of policemen who will get axed the hardest are the specialists. They are known as the ones that solve child abuse and domestic violence crimes. This is all due to happen in a period of four years.

I feel quite puzzled by the fact that the government has decided to cut on the jobs of policemen. Most European governments, if I am not mistaking the British one as well, have said that they will invest in more blue uniforms on the streets and this doesn't seem to happen. Three thousand people will get fired due to humongous shortages. Whilst these shortages are created by the government the public has to turn up for it. It seems that there are too many consequences as a result of irresponsible expenditure of finances by the government. This just should not be allowed.
